Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of makingplays.ai, our newsletter and free resources, and the paid Plays and community provided by Making Plays (“Making Plays”, “we”, “us”). By using the site or buying a Play, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Who we are
makingplays.ai is operated by [Your registered legal entity name], [Registered business address]. You can reach us at hello@makingplays.ai.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter a binding contract to buy a Play or join the community.
3. Newsletter and free resources
Our newsletter and free downloads are provided for your personal, professional use. By signing up you consent to receive emails from us; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
4. The Plays and community
The Plays are digital products — playbooks, courses, templates, and access to our community, delivered through our community platform. When you buy a Play, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use it for your own work.
You agree not to:
- share, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the content or your access;
- share your login, or use one account for a whole team without a team licence;
- reproduce or republish the materials except as expressly permitted.
5. Payment and billing
Prices are shown at checkout and may change over time, but changes won't affect a purchase you've already made. Payments are processed by our community and payment providers. If a Play is sold on a recurring or membership basis, it renews automatically until you cancel, and you authorise us to charge the payment method on file for each renewal. You can cancel a renewing membership any time before the next billing date.
6. Refunds
We offer a 30-day refund on paid Plays: if you're not satisfied, email hello@makingplays.ai within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund you. This window is kept in sync with what's stated on the Plays themselves. Refunds may be declined where there is clear evidence of abuse (for example, downloading all materials and then requesting a refund).
7. Acceptable use and community conduct
When using the site or community, you agree not to break the law, infringe others' rights, harass other members, post spam or harmful content, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems. We may remove content and suspend or terminate access for breaches.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the site and within the Plays — text, designs, videos, templates, and the Making Playsname and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Your licence to use it doesn't transfer any ownership to you.
9. Affiliate disclosure
Some links on the site, including on our tools page, are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you sign up or buy through them, at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we'd genuinely recommend to a friend.
10. Third-party platforms
We deliver parts of the service through third parties such as our community platform (Circle) and email provider (Kit). Your use of those platforms is also subject to their own terms and policies, and we're not responsible for their availability or actions.
11. No guaranteed results
The Plays, newsletter, and resources are educational. We share systems and approaches that have worked for us, but we can't and don't guarantee any particular outcome — results depend on your market, effort, and execution. Nothing here is legal, financial, or professional advice.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't exclude liability for anything that can't lawfully be excluded (such as fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence). Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Plays or the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, or data.
13. Termination
You can stop using the site and cancel any membership at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence says otherwise.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
